Danielle is 16 years old and was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a type of cancer that forms in the bones and soft tissue. it affects about one in every million people per year in the United States.
Ewing’s Sarcoma occurs most often in teenagers and young adults and represents approximately 2% of childhood cancers.
Danielle has had 14 rounds of chemotherapy and 21 treatments of radiation. She has endured invasive surgery when they removed the tumor and a portion of her ulna, which was replaced with a cadaver’s bone.
